things i remember about my wedding day:

-I remember waking up and feeling so happy. I remember checking my phone in the morning to seeing a lot of missed calls from Grant at 2am in the morning. It's surprising because I'm known to not go to sleep the night before something I was excited about, and this was probably the most exciting day of my life!

-I remember calling Grant back the next morning worried about why I received multiple missed calls from him at 2am. Turns out his temple recommend was in his suit coat, which his mom took to get dry cleaned. His recommend was no where to be found. He spent most of the night trying to get ahold of his bishop and stake president for a new one. Poor guy!

-I remember Grant coming over for breakfast. My family fixed our traditional crepe breakfast because it was a very special occasion. We sang "going to the temple and we're gonna get married." It was such a wonderful feeling.

-I remember my sweet cousin Katie doing my hair and makeup in my bathroom. It was fun to be able to share that memory together again since I was with her when she was getting ready for her wedding!

-I remember my brother getting his mission call that very same day!

-I remember walking through those beautiful Gilbert temple doors hand in hand with my soon to be eternal companion. We were so excited!

-I remember walking into the sealing room and the whole room being filled with family. Before the ceremony even began there was such a strong spirit. We had prayed and fasted our whole engagement that the spirit would be present and Heavenly Father answered our prayers.

-I remember kneeling down at the alter and looking into my husband's teary eyes. We loved each other so much then, and even more now. My heart seemed as if it were going to burst with love and gratitude.

-I remember after our sealing looking into the "eternal mirrors." We saw ourselves and we could literally see until eternity.

-I remember my mom helping me get dressed in my wedding dress in the gorgeous bride's room. I was so thankful to have her there with me. I felt so blessed to have her as my mom and one of my best friends.

-I remember our grand exit out of the temple doors as the newest Mr. and Mrs. It was pretty epic! We had so much support!

-I remember our luncheon where we shared our story together at the microphone.

-I remember at our reception, there were so many people standing in line to come in and see us. It went out the door! I honestly don't remember too much about the line, I just remember being so happy that so many people came to celebrate with us.

-I remember dancing with my dad and then my husband. I told my dad that I loved him so much that I had to marry someone with his same name. My dad and I danced to our song, "Ballerina Girl." That has been our song for as long as I can remember. Grant and I danced to "Just a Kiss." That is a special song to us.

-I remember our awesome photo booth and dance party at our reception. We had an amazing dance party! It was so fun! That's all Grant wanted for the reception was a big dance and that is exactly what he got! In fact, we have some pretty awesome video clips of people dancing, and of us dancing too!

-I remember leaving our reception with a sparkler exit. The sparklers were almost burned out by the time we made it outside. ;) Our car was decorated perfectly. As we were sent off, we realized that we had some followers-my aunts and cousins! They thought it would be funny to follow us, so we were on a wild goose chase trying to loose them for about 30 minutes. Hilarious and so fun.

-Mostly, I remember thinking that this was THE.BEST.DAY.EVER! It was such a spiritual, crazy, memorable, and fun day-the perfect day to start eternity together. I can't wait to see what the years ahead have in store for us!
