I honestly have the best husband. He is so wonderful. One thing I love about being married is you always have a great support system. It has been my dream, even before my mission, to start a videography business. Before my mission, I liked to film and make short family videos.
After we moved back to Gilbert from living in Houston, Texas, Grant and I made our very first big purchase, a beautiful Mark ii Canon camera! We bought it with the intent to start a videography business. Grant researched the best camera equipment (he is a good researcher), we picked a business name (Boyd Videography), designed a website, (www.boydvideography.com- check it out!) bargained with a few friends to film their weddings, and sha-bam! here we are filming weddings as a part-time job! I think we both enjoy working together, being creative together, being apart of people's special day, and making a few extra $$ on the side.
In the last few months, we have attended all kinds of different wedding receptions. My favorite part, though, are the reception dance parties where I get to see my hubby, bust a move!
He makes me laugh! Good thing I'm always holding a camera to film his awesome dance moves. He has no fear to dance, unlike me. haha. Good thing I have him help me put the camera down, pull me in, and start dancing!

We hope to continue to get our name out there and continue filming more events. I'm so grateful for Grant, because without his encouragement, I probably have never had the guts to start my own videography business. Check out a videos we've done so far...
